Alexis Scott is a class of 2020 graduate of Hampton University from Washington D.C. She is the founder of The BadGirl Network and has goals to increase reliable support and connect women together to prosper in various career fields. While pursuing her MBA at Hampton University and learning the necessary skills in the business industry, she was eager to start her own brand by the influence of organizations, brands, and businesses that reside on her campus. Being a part of multiple organizations taught her many life lessons and sparked her interest in starting The Bad Girl Network. Meeting so many talented, creative and ambitious women ensured her of what she is capable of to fulfill her future goals and dreams. she is still to this day the person who struggles on what path she wants to take and she knows that there are many women who could relate so this is her why. Realizing that networking is an essential tool to have in life, The BadGirl Network will support those aspiring and inspiring (BAD) bossy, ambitious and destined women to find their purpose and bring awareness to their career fields. She is super excited for this brand to grow and partner with many businesses/ brands so that we can all highlight our talents, services/products and purposes to the world.

Our Mission

The BadGirl Network offers a women’s support system and exercising services within the brands and careers of women who are exposed to the platform. This network provides personal, professional, economic, mental and career-based support to women to expand and grow together.

 

Due to the creation of this platform, our team will ensure that women can gain successful connections, build their brands/ careers with the exposure from women who have quality experiences in their fields and most importantly provide them with the resources needed to expound upon their lifestyle.

The first person we would like to introduce is Alexis Scott. As the FOUNDER of The BadGirl Network, she is always aiming to connect ambitious women to support, network, mentor and assist across all diverse communities and industries. Born and raised in Washington, DC. Alexis' experience with lack of support and sisterhood is what sparked the birth of The Bad Girl Network. Alexis loves supporting black businesses and uplifting people within her community.

Brenee Montgomery is a go getter and grinds hard for what she wants. Brenee helped to keep the brand running smoothly through her Secretarial position. Managing databases, coordinating mail-shots and prioritizing workloads are just a few things, the Maryland-Native does. Brenee identifies as a bad girl because everything she does is with pure intention.

Taylar Brown is the brand’s glue that holds everything together. As the Bad Girl Network’s treasurer, Taylor oversees the management of the financial affairs of the brand. • Raised in Woodbridge, Virginia and she is currently compiling a background in business. Taylor tasks range from managing cash flow to keeping track of fundings. The aspiring entrepreneur defines being a bad girl as a girl who expresses herself authentically to the world, because she believes her purpose is a prize.

Kaitlin Canty is from Bowie, Maryland and is a Bad Girl Network Brand Ambassador whose goal for the brand is to help promote what the Bad Girl Network has to offer, increase brand awareness and help drive sales. When asked what makes a bad girl a ‘Bad Girl’ she says it’s someone who is an impactful leader, exudes confidence, and goes fiercely after what they want.

Brandi Robinson is the Bad Girl Network's Brand Ambassador who believes a bad girl is someone who is their unapologetically self and strives to be a boss while empowering other women to do the same. When the Upper Marlboro, Maryland native is not promoting our brand, she enjoys eating great meals and traveling.

Zakiyyah Ferguson is one of the Brand Ambassadors at The Bad Girl Network. The PG-County native’s rap sheet consists of working with companies such as Varsity Spirit Corp. and IT girl as their brand ambassador. She defines a bad girl as an ambitious woman who is all about her business, all about networking and inspiring others.

Davianna Jones is from Chicago, Illinois and serves as one of our brand ambassadors. The beauty utilizes her communication skills and marketing experience in promoting the brands to a broad base. Prior to joining the Bad Girl Network, she has worked at Hampton University as a campus ambassador for Impressions Of Beauty. In her free time, Davianna enjoys shopping and has hopes to open her own ecommerce store in the future.

Ericka Stansbury is our Brand ambassador from Wilmington, Delaware, who believes a bad girl is someone who is determined. Ericka is one of the many faces of our brand who lives by the mantra of setting goals and achieving them by any means. When she is not representing our brand, she enjoys uplifting females and friends in anything they do because positive energy is always needed.

Indya Spinks is a contributing writer at The Bad Girl Network. The journalism major says that writing allows her to express herself to a ‘T’. Originating from Manassas, Virginia, she defines being a bad girl as a woman that can handle any obstacles thrown her way, while still being her beautiful gracious self. In her free time, Indya enjoys writing freely in her creative journal.

Jakala Hamiel is passionate and committed to helping people,which is why event planning is right up her alley. Born and raised in Newport News, VA, Jakala is hoping to leverage her experience working with different planners into creating a coordination style that is unique.Ambitious with a killer drive, Jakala is hoping to become an advertising executive post-grad. When she is not brewing fun and memorable events for those around her, Jakala is amplifying the beauty of others through nail art.

Briana Webster's unique blend of creative vision and business sense is what makes her our Creative Director. The Cleveland-native oversees the general artistic direction of our brand. Her daily tasks include collaborating with the team to successfully implement creative concepts and develop hands-on creative concepts. Brianna defines a bad girl as a girl who is the CEO of her life, a leader that sets a high standard for herself, and an inspiration for young girls everywhere.

Zenaya Forbes is responsible for developing relevant content topics to reach the The Bad Girl Network community. As a social media manager, Zendaya creates, curates, and manages all published content on all our social media platforms in an effort to increase brand awareness. Post- grad, the Englewood, New Jersey- native is hoping to work in the media marketing and advertising field for media companies like BET. When the content strategist isn’t curating, she is dancing & choreographing.

Yveneka Lestin is a multimedia journalist with a passion for the media industry via, travel, entertainment and lifestyle. The NYC- born is a creative writer, publicist and now our brand’s PR/ Marketing Specialist. Emerging on the PR scene not too long ago, her first client has been spotlighted in Essences, BET, Teen Vogue, The Huffington Post and other notable companies. As our specialist, Yveneka hopes to implement PR campaigns with the goal of enriching the brand within the public eye.

Alazja Kirk is the face known to the public as our media correspondent. The west coast breed’s many roles consist of communicating, interpreting and conducting interviews with inspiring women. The soon-to-be Hampton Alumna has a double major in Journalism and Marketing, hoping to work for an entertainment PR firm developing prospective client’s brands.When she is not in front of the camera delivering news, she splits her time between reading, writing and serving those in need.
